Ground Beef Curry (Keema)

ingredients
  • 2lb Ground beef
  • 2 medium onions
  • 5-6 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 4-5 Tomatoes or 330ml tomato puree
  • 2 1/2 tbsp garlic/ ginger
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 green chillies sliced lengthwise 

Directions, in a pot add:
  • 5-6 tbsp of oil
  • 2 medium thinly sliced onions
Sweat the onions & add
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 2lb ground beef
  • 330ml tomato puree or 4-5 tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp of garlic & ginger paste
Cook for a little bit. Add splashes of water if needed
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/4th cup fresh chopped coriander
  • 2 green chilis (deseeded, sliced lengthwise - dded for fragrance)\
Serve with naan or roti.
