My go-to Chicken or Steak Sandwich Recipe
Steak marinade overnight or min 30 min
- 1lb steak strips (pasande)
- 3 tbsp of vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp garlic
- 1/2 tbsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
*For chicken sandwich I use any left over chicken shreds (rotisserie chicken, chicken tikka - anything)
If using raw meat (steak prep above), then quickly stir fry beef for a few min.
Remove form heat & set aside
In a skillet add:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 large onions, cook until soft
- 1/2 green bell pepper - sliced lengthwise
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 tsp ginger
- Add meat (The philly cheesesteak that was set aside or left over chicken shreds)
- 3 tbsp of ketcup
- 1 tbsp sambal oelek
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- If using left over chicken add: Splash of vinegar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 egg - beat in a bowl & add to mix. Mix everything together.
- Once meat is cooked through turn off heat.
- Add 1/4 cup shredded cheese (I use cheddar)
- Add 2 tsps of mayo
Mix all together & serve on your preferred sandwich break
