My go-to Chicken or Steak Sandwich Recipe

Steak marinade overnight or min 30 min
  • 1lb steak strips (pasande)
  • 3 tbsp of vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

*For chicken sandwich I use any left over chicken shreds (rotisserie chicken, chicken tikka - anything)

If using raw meat (steak prep above), then quickly stir fry beef for a few min. 
Remove form heat & set aside

In a skillet add:
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 large onions, cook until soft
  • 1/2 green bell pepper - sliced lengthwise 
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • Add meat (The philly cheesesteak that was set aside or left over chicken shreds)
  • 3 tbsp of ketcup
  • 1 tbsp sambal oelek
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • If using left over chicken add: Splash of vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 egg - beat in a bowl & add to mix. Mix everything together.
  • Once meat is cooked through turn off heat.
  • Add 1/4 cup shredded cheese (I use cheddar)
  • Add 2 tsps of mayo
Mix all together & serve on your preferred sandwich break
