On a skillet add:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil, divided
  • 1 1/4 cup raw walnut halves

Toast walnuts until fragrant & lightly toasted

Remove from heat & set aside

Back in the skillet, add:

  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs

Toast breadcrumbs and set aside with walnuts

In a blender or food processor, add:

  • 1 cup roughly chopped fire-roasted red peppers (peeled, seeded)
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons pomegranate molasses (OR a splash of lemon juice - its just as good with this option!)
  • 1 teaspoon salt, plus more as needed
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon Allepo or other red pepper flakes (I usually don’t add this and add chilli flakes onto for garnish)
