Pakoras
Onion Pakoras (3-4 people)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Besan
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp Tumeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp pink salt or to taste
- 3/4 cup water
- Saporito Veg Oil for Frying
- 1 tbsp whole coriander seeds
- 1 medium onion
- 1 green chili thinly sliced
- Handful of cilantro chopped
- Dip: KFI Sauces (Tamarind Date, Achari Mango, or Cilantro)
Direction:
in a bowl, mix together
- 1 cup Besan
- 1/8th tsp baking soda
- 3/4th cup water
Mix together until pancake batter consistency. Add more water if needed. keep aside for 20 mins.
After 20 mins add:
- 1/4th tsp Tumeric
- 1 tsp chilis powder
- 1 tsp pink salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tbsp whole coriander seeds to batter
- 1 medium onion julienned
- 1 green chili thinly sliced
- Handful of cilantro chopped
Mix thoroughly
Heat oil in a pot for deep frying
Place 1 tbsp of batter in hot oil and deep fry
Once pakoras are golden brown remove from oil
Potato Pakoras (3-4 people)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Besan

- 1/4 tsp Tumeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp pink salt or to taste
- 3/4 cup water

- 1 large potato
- Dip: KFI Sauces (Tamarind Date, Achari Mango, or Cilantro)

Peel potato and slice (1/4th inch thick) potato chip
Dip potato in batter
Heat oil in a pot for deep frying
Fry battered potato until potato is cooked through and batter is golden brown
