Chicken Jalfrezi
In a Pan/ Wok fry:
- 1 1/2 capsicum (any colour)
- 1 medium onion
Once fried, set aside
In the pan/wok, add:
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- 3 tsp garlic/ ginger paste
- 1 1/2 lb chicken (cubed)
Cook until chicken is cooked through
Add:
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp Tumeric
- 1.5 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 2/3 jar of tomato puree about 440ml (alternatively use 3 heaping tsps of tomato paste & add more water)
- Splash of water
Cook until sauce is thick then add:
- Fried capsicum & onion
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 green chillies
- A few Ginger slices
best served with white basmati rice
